Dorcas is a place where lives are rewritten with love, care and opportunity.
Through PAICA – Comprehensive Child and Adolescent Care Program, we embrace approximately 300 children, teens and their families, strengthening bonds and promoting the comprehensive development of each one.
We act in accordance with the National Social Assistance Policy, implementing the Community Coexistence and Bond Strengthening Service (SCFV), in partnership with CRAS III and CREAS of Almirante Tamandaré, PR, ensuring protection, listening and follow-up.
Our commitment is to life and the future: promoting autonomy, protagonism, and new possibilities for children and teens facing situations of vulnerability, violence, neglect, or the breakdown of bonds.
Here, each child finds a safe space to be, dream and grow.
We offer activities that awaken talents and broaden horizons, such as art, music, culture, sports, experiments, scouting and conversation circles, creating experiences that strengthen identities and open doors to a different tomorrow.
Our methodology is based on Paulo Freire's thinking, valuing dialogue, respect and the collective construction of knowledge.
We believe that to educate is to liberate, and that no one creates change alone: it is through community and togetherness that the paths to transformation emerge.
General Objective:To promote comprehensive care and socio-community development, reframing adversities and valuing potentials.
Target audience:children and teens from 4 to 18 years old in situation of social vulnerability.
Priority Audience:children and teens in situations such as weakening of family ties, violence, neglect, school lag, child labor, institutional sheltering, MSE in open environment, abuse/sexual exploitation, street situation or disability.
Activities are organized in groups by age range:
- G1 – 6 to 8 years old
- G2 – 9 to 11 years old
- G3 – 12 to 14 years old
- G4 – 15 to 18 years old
