What They Say About Us

About

Testimony from Oregon Tool (partner)

"For us, at Oregon Tool, it is a great pleasure to encourage a project as serious and committed as Dorcas.

Realizing that our help is an important part of the moral and intellectual formation of these children and teenagers is without a doubt our greatest gift.

We love welcoming them to our company, talking to each one of them and seeing on their faces a belief and a joy that possibly wouldn't exist if it weren't for their tireless spirit of these fantastic people who coordinate Dorcas and believe in the power of good!

Thank you Darclê, Arlete and other members of Dorcas for one day crossing our path!"

Our Stories

Our Values

Service Transformation Dignity

In Joppa there was a disciple named Tabitha (in Greek her name is Dorcas); she was always doing good and helping the poor.  Acts 9:36 (NIV).

Dorcas is a safe nest where children and teenagers are cared for physically and mentally. With attention to the areas of nutrition, health, education, values and feelings, with physical and emotional safety to create a healthy environment of well-being. So that children and teenagers can spread their wings and have the freedom to dream again.

For Whom and Where

In order to ensure acceptance and assimilation, it is essential to understand who the Dorcas brand's audience is.

Dorcas operates in underprivileged communities such as the Bonfim neighborhood in Almirante Tamandaré, where the rates of violence and education are highly worrying.

In addition to being exposed to the community, the brand will be present among collaborators and supporters.

The brand's universe is made up of different audiences in terms of age, education, and purchasing power.

2. Development
SimplicityDifferentiationRelevance

These are the criteria we used to create the Dorcas brand.

You need to be clear to communicate efficiently to a diverse audience.

The simpler it is, the easier it will be to understand on first contact with the brand and its future association with the Dorcas name. While using simple elements, the brand must carry meaning and relevance. Finally, the symbol must stand out due to its graphic composition and attract attention when inserted among other brands.

Our Relevance

UNDP

Dorcas is recognized by the public authorities and the local population as a serious entity committed to the well-being of the community in which it operates, seeking to apply the resources acquired through donations with maximum efficiency and responsibility.

The institution is also registered with the Municipal Fund for Children and Adolescents, which ir directly linked to the Municipal Council for the Rights of Children and Adolescents (CMDCA), and to the Municipal Council for Social Action (CMAS), of Almirante Tamandaré, which constitutes one of the service policy guidelines provided for in the Child and Adolescent Statute (ECA). Thanks to this, it is possible to transfer donations arising from Income Tax deduction (individual and legal entity).

Throughout its existence, the Dorcas Project has transformed the lives of hundreds of families in situations of social vulnerability in Almirante Tamandaré. Its objective is to promote integral human development – physical, psychological and spiritual – through educational, cultural and sporting activities for children and teenagers and professional training for adults.
